Terms of Service
Last updated: July 6, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Babelly (the "Service"), operated by Softable ("Babelly," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What Babelly is
Babelly is a tool for translating JSON, i18n, and other structured files into multiple languages. Translation is performed using a third-party machine translation provider (currently DeepL) — Babelly does not itself translate your content, and does not guarantee translation accuracy. Some tools shown in the product (PDF, DOCX, CSV, SRT) may be marked as not yet available; only fully functional tools should be relied on for production use.
2. Accounts
You sign in via a third-party provider (Google or GitHub) through our authentication provider, Supabase. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, or have a parent/guardian's consent, to use the Service.
3. Tokens and payments
Access to translation beyond the included free allowance is metered using "tokens," which you purchase in packs. Tokens are consumed based on the amount of content translated, are non-transferable, and (unless stated otherwise at time of purchase) do not expire. Pricing and token costs are subject to change; changes won't retroactively affect tokens you've already purchased.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our authorized reseller — Paddle acts as the merchant of record for purchases made on Babelly, which means your payment relationship for billing, tax, and receipt purposes is with Paddle, not directly with us. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.
4. Your content
You retain all rights to the files and text you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide the translation you requested — including transmitting relevant text to our third-party translation provider. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it to train models. Don't upload content you don't have the rights to, or content that's unlawful, contains malware, or violates a third party's rights.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
- Circumvent token limits, rate limits, or access controls
- Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission
6. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is." Machine translation can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or culturally inappropriate results — you're responsible for reviewing translated output before relying on or publishing it. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Babelly won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including losses resulting from translation errors. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Unused token balances are handled per our Refund Policy upon termination.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of The Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
